There's absolutely no way Montreal takes that Turris contract.

2nd trade, I'd rather get a prospect and pick over Honka

The 4 more years of Turris sucks, I know...

Nashville passes. It's a big overpayment for a player they don't need.

and then can just sign a forward in the off-season anyway - without losing Fabbro and the 1st

MTL doesnt take that Domi deal. Cap space will be a premium this off season and I think they can hold it to someone to get someone of real value.

Dallas probably passes. Value is fine, but they likely aren't moving a 1st Round Pick for 1 year of Petry, and they aren't going to want to pay him the extension he's likely going to want. The Stars already have enough questionable contracts that carry players into their mid-late 30's. Extending Petry would give them another one.

Dallas needs to focus on adding someone like Barron or Schneider in the 1st Round. It gives them a RD that can be a fixture on their blue line for potentially the next decade. Unless Dallas is getting a young piece that is going to contribute for the next few years, I don't see much of a scenario where they move their 1st Round Pick.

Like I said, the value is fine, but Dallas really isn't in much of a position to make this move given their current needs.

Nail on the head. It’s nice to see a realistic Petry trade for once but I don’t think it’s a fit

Both NSH and MTL pass:

NSH can't afford to give up their young dman when the rest of the crew is approaching 30 or older.

MTL doesn't want that boat anchor of a Turris contract.
