No. Haven't we agreed that Nylander for Ellis is fair?

Oh no worries lol, but you see a lot of Nylander for Ellis trades and most people say it's fair value, except for some of the more... extreme leafs fans.

I wouldn't say that's giving him away. I moved a young, elite top 6 RW for a young cost controlled RHD with huge upside and just out of his rookie year, along with a high 2nd. take from a position of strength and add to a position of need. I also signed Hall at a decent, albeit more expensive contract that Nylander, to supplement the offense Nylander brought. I'm not going to argue with you that Toronto most likely has no desire to move Nylaander, considering his year to date, but I was interested in seeing what the team would look like if we broke up our big 4 young forward core up to address a major hole in our lineup.

Replacing Nylander and Kerfoot's 10+M contracts with roughly 3.5M left a bunch of cap space to be able to sign a guy like Hall.
