Koivu made it pretty clear he will retire only ever playing for the Wild when he refused to waive his NMC at the deadline

Lyubushkin is good defender, but Lehkonen is a bit of an overpayment.

I don't understand why most on here are so quick to move on from Domi. The guy is 1 year removed from 70 pts and while inconsistent this season he was still on pace for ~50pts. At 25 years old he's still too young with adequate production behind him to be given up on.

I don't think MB will look to move him at all but will instead be looking to offer him another bridge deal (maybe 1 year) to see what he can do for the big money longer term contract. I believe in a scenario like this he still remains an RFA (even with a 2 year bridge). This will benefit all sides with:
1- allowing him to show case what he can do
2- allow the Habs the short term evaluation
3- expansion draft exemption (if it's a 1 year deal)

It's mostly due to him being a RFA. Fans will speculate, but you're right MB should look to lock this guy down for the next 5-9 years
