How about Ottawa’s second for Puljujarvi?? We could pick a good player with that pick, and we will never get full value for Puljujarvi.

I hope not, then we could swoop in and grab it. But ya, Holland has to lower his asking price first.

There are players available 33rd overall who would be better than Puljujarvi, in my opinion. Ottawa isn't doing that.

I think the best EDM does is a 2nd or a guy like Borgstrom.

In reality, I think at the draft they trade him for a 2nd. Everyone is excited at the draft and EDM doesn't have a 2nd, Holland wants to build through the draft, it could make sense

I think in the end this is exactly the type of deal that will happen, we were never getting a first and a prospect

I felt that holland was stupid for asking for a first and prospect

It’s believed holland wants a 1st and a prospect. I don’t see any reason to give away for less. He’s putting up a point per game impressive at his age no matter the league. It wasn’t that he couldn’t play in nhl it’s that JP played on a very crappy team and wasn’t given an opportunity in a bigger role.

holland was able to trade Lucic for a twenty goal scored that has no clauses on contract and better yet to biggest rival. No reason to think his ask is out of the question. Jp is doing what you’d expect him to do maybe holland pulls off luring him back. He’s done nothing short of fantastic work.

Given how deep this draft is, teams won't easily be convinced to give up a first

No but teams like Ottawa with 3 become reality. Ottawa strikes me because I’ve heard on a few different accounts that they are prepared to move on from Logan brown the draft capital to easily do it and a prospect Edmonton could very well covert adds up. I know most think it’s too much but I think when you really look at both teams it makes sense.
