Holtby should be getting like a 2 year 3 million dollar contract as a 1B goalie... He had a terrible year on a first place team and is on the wrong side of 30. Needs to earn his way back into the money. 7 million for a guy who just posted a sub .900 SV% is a really bad idea

There's a lot wrong here, crazy to sign Holtby to that, Haula will get more and should be the 2C, bringing back that useless Vesey is a bad idea, Simmonds isn't worth bringing back either, Olofsson and Reinhart will both want more, yeah this is just a total mess.. Lol

I am a proponent of players seeing less money as a result of a flat cap, but this is just offbase.

Also, Holtby..... just not what the doctor ordered at all. I like Holtby, but his game has regressed over the last two years. Given the cap situation, $3 million is about as far as I would go.

For $7 million you can get Markstrom! The guy that for the two years has suddenly and quietly entered some Vezina conversations.
