Please suggest replacement players for some teams. I might have either jumped over someone or forgot about a more overrated player.

This list largely refers to players who demand far greater trade value than their worth, but also includes players who the team themselves view higher than they should

I wouldn’t say Murray is overrated lol. Most fan pretty much hate him and think he is crap now lol

I would say Letang over Murray when it comes to the team views higher than it should for the pens.

I was also on the fence with McCann (good player, but Pens fans value him rather high compared to what he is) or Simon. I didn't consider Sheary as he only had a few games this year in this sweater and BUF fans thought he was crap

The pens is hard when talking about fans value on this site cause everyone thinks every penguins player is a cap dump that no one wants lol. If I had to say anyone...it would be a tossup between Jarry, McCann, or Rust fan wise

Lehkonen is underrated. Just because people don't do their research doesn't mean he's worth nothing.

As a Rangers fan, I wouldn't say DeAngelo is overrated. There's a large portion of the fan base that basically equate him to a replacement level player due to his off ice stances.

I think in this situation Georgiev is a better fit

its definitely not letang. hes very underrated on this site I find. I would say the most overrated is Jarry or Rust.

He's a young bottom 6 forward that's a defensive beast. I don't think it's that we want a crap ton for him, it's "he's more valuable to us that than that package"

He had a strong year definitely, but i struggle to see DeAngelo as a mainstay. Trades for him are through the roof in price which usually isn't the case for defensemen having only one strong year. Look at how much Gus (from chicago to CGY) dropped off.

Not claiming that TDA is a bad player, but in terms of trade value, i'm against the crowd in saying he is underrated.

Georgiev is overrated too, but i figured not as much. He's definitely #2 on my list for rangers

If say Jenner from Columbus. Anderson is pretty evenly rated as he did have a poor year due to injury but had a good year the season before.

Jenner is a 3rd liner and a leader, he’s the teams 2nd best center, but honestly his stats kinda suck offensively and defensively they should be better.

Columbus Centers suck right now outside of PLD and hopefully Foudy, Texier or Grigoranko help that next year.

Depends on the person. I can appreciate that argument, however I see habs fans equating the team's worth of him to other teams buy on him. ive seen offers as crazy as a first for him

i think for the most part we all understand that jenner isn't all that great, but is a helpful asset for CBJ and their dressing room.

When one specific player is targetted a ton on trades on this site, their value somehow gradually rises. Seems to be the case with Anderson... CBJ fans are happy w/ a 2nd, but i see overpayments quite frequently (this reasoning also applies to severson)

100%right for johnsson. I believe he will bounce back and could be a great top 9 on another team? But for the leafs his injuries on top of his cap hit make him expendable

he's kinda always been overrated.

Hyman and Kapanen are pretty close for me too. Their trade values are through the roof although they are fairly general players. The product of good linemates. Kapanen is better than the 3rd line by which he plays on, but he aint ever going to be a top line talent.

Bergevin loves him and wouldnt trade him for 2 2nd rd picks. There is no reason at all to trade Lehkonen, just none

Leafs most overrated player is Morgan Rielly. Hes basically a Risto who scores a few more points but for some reason is looked upon as an elite 1st pairing defenseman. A completely 1 dimensional defenseman, he might as well just be a 3rd winger. He even makes Ceci look good in the defensive zone by comparison. Hes the most lacking on the defensive side of the puck of the Leafs defensemen but the blame is universally placed on his partners, Hainsey last season and Ceci this season.

Definitly Noah Hanifin for Calgary. I saw a lot of people here saying how much he's good but I think he still grinds on his draft rank selection. He is a top4 Dman I dont hate him but there is nothing special about him. Decent amount of points, average defensive IQ, not physical, good skater. There's a ton of player matching that description yet, he's often described as elite.

What makes Kase overrated?

Put John Moore if you want " because some people believe he can bring a 5th instead of a 7th "

Even then, Kase isn't overrated (it's even the opposite) by the Bruins fans at all (especially here), haven't seen anyone overrating him...

If I were to pick someone whose overrated it would be Coyle. Not saying he's a bad player, but most B's fans think he is a #2C and I just don't see it

Depending on how this list is viewed, Foligno for the Wild and Manson for the Ducks. Both guys are valued higher by their teams than you'd actually get for them in a trade. Not bad players, just not worth what their teams would want to move them.

Since I don't see a player from the Canucks listed, Virtanen easily. He was drafted WAAAAAAAAY earlier than he should have been and is probably worth a 2nd yet somehow 'nucks fans think he's worth a package.

May I ask why you believe all three hyman kapanen and johnsson are overrated?(going into more depth)

How is kamenev overrated? Hes not even an NHL regular (although he may have been if not for injuries for the last few seasons)
