Gaudreau shouldn't get a worse return then Hall. That makes no sense

Think you could definitely do better with Gaudreau

I would rather have Bennett over Johnsson so that trade makes no sense for the Flames.

We could probably get a little more for Gudreau, but overall not bad. We probably need to give Demelo more thoguh, He will probably sign between3 and 3.5 just because quite a few teams have interest so that drives up the price.

Not many flames fans think that, Bennet has been pretty bad for us, but Johnsson brings scoring abilities, I think lots of us prefer Johnsson, and his contract is way better.

Which is why the leafs wouldn't do it

i dont see issues here. Bennet may just need to be on a new team to refind his footing. Keefe is a coach who can possibly bring back the player we all know he can be. On top of having Kap and either barbanov or engvall as his wings he may do quite well for himself. If not its okay only got to keep him for a year not offer him another contract and he can become a UFA.

Sure Johnsson could bounce back but I have a feeling he is gone at the draft for the best offer he can get.

Gaudreau is worth more than that

Bennett doesn’t bring the same scoring abilities as Johnsson but he plays with heart and gives 100 percent most nights, he was one of your best players in last years playoffs.

What would Flames fans want/expect in a trade including Gaudreau? Picks, prospects, rosters players in which position?

But there is still the thought that on another team he could find his footing and become at least close to the player he was supposed to become

maybe! but that team isnt the Leafs, they dont have open spots in their bottom 6 and no reason to trade players who are better for him. He'd be a decent gamble for a team like ottawa or new jersey or something, but not toronto

Johnsson for Bennett has value. Helps both teams (CAL secondary scoring, Leafs get their younger Clifford at less $$ than Johnsson).
