It's more of a quality over quantity issue. Ehlers is a very good winger signed long-term in a city where getting players to sign long contracts is tough. I would imagine the Jets would want closer to a 1 for 1 swap, which would be tough to find from the Rangers.

No you really couldn’t get more Steen still plays well considering he does put some pretty good defensive numbers. He’s just not the offensive power house he used to be.

I think the Jets accept, buchnevich was on pace for 55 points and adds some size. Strome fills our left shot 2c. We swap a defensive prospect who needs expansion draft protection for a younger one and add a 1st round pick.
