I think Byfield gets a look for 9 games on the third line low or center and then likely goes back to junior for one more year for the best development path. All trades are good for the Sabres but I think more will have to be given to make them work for minnesota and especially calgary

If Buffalo wants Gaudreau at least one of Dylan Cozens or the 2020 1st round pick needs to be involved.

You're getting one of the top LWs in the game for a minimum of two seasons. Calgary will not want to wait until 2021 to add a key prospect to their system after giving up their most dynamic offensive weapon.
