Both those Chicago offers are so bad there's nothing more to say about them.

Wishful thinking but not one of thses teams are making these deals.

Both Chicago deals are not even close. Hawks have cap issues and are not trading young cost controlled players who appear to be NHL caliber players for older more expensive players.

Bruins are not taking on a trade with Leafa to help them with a better players and a cap control.

untouchable. There's nothing that Toronto is willing to give up that makes it worth it for us to move him

Boston wouldn't trade you Carlo. It would create a hole at RHD for them while simultaneously filling a need for a division rival

probably around Robertson. Kubalik was one of the highest scoring forwards per 60 minutes and had 30 goals with under 15 minutes a night. He's gonna climb with more usage and is going to be relatively cheap production for the next few years

Hawks probably won't trade him. 30+ goal scorers don't grow on trees. But if we were to move him it would start with a 1st round pick and a prospect. Probably not a price the leafs want to pay for a guy thats only had one season in the NHL anyways

So in terms of draft picks (other teams), mid 1st + 2nd?

Robertson starts the conversation but it will take more than that. We have seens what kubalik can do in the NHL and like you mentioned the potential is there for him to be even better. We have not seen that Robertson does in the AHL or NHL. Lots of guys rip it up in juniors but they don't all translate it to the NHL. Robertson is a good enough peice coming back that the hawks don't hang up the phone at least

I probably wouldnt do it for picks, I'd rather get a prospect that has already shown signs of being a quality player

Kubalik probably won't be traded and if so then it'll be expensive for whoever's getting them.

Dach is untouchable, unless we get like Matthews or something unrealistic

Indeed, a BOS-TOR will likely not happen for a while. And Carlo isn't getting moved unless it's a big overpay and we move that/another guy to fill the RD2 hole.

I think that all three of your trades would start -- start, mind you -- with a 2020 first, which you don't own, plus a high-quality roster player. Moreover, for Carlo or Dach, the pick would have to be a top 5 unless you want to start talking about all-star RWs. And then there's the Original Six // intra-divisional rivalry problem.

Thinking about trades involving world-class players like this is unrealistic. The guys involved are just too valuable.

Carlo trade nadda-bing-nadda-boom...

BOS @ LD = Krug, Chara, Grz, Lauzon (L/R), Moore, Vaak, Zboril. Yeah you get the picture, Dermott would very likely be press-boxed!

The Boston deal only helps Toronto. Idk that there is any realistic piece on TOR that I'd move Carlo for
