Question for Flyers fans about Wayne

Description
Wayne Simmonds has said he wants to come back a sign a new contract with the Sabres. The only spot I can see him filling in is on the 4th line on the left wing. Does he have experience on the left side or just the right?

I really don't know if Simmonds can be too picky which position he plays. You love everything about the person, but his game has really declined. If the best offer he gets results in him playing LW he has to take it.

Watching Wayne for the few games he played in buffalo it’s clear his effort level was very high but I fear he is too slow to be any sort of effective nhl player.

I guarantee Botterill will bring him back.

Not denying that at all. Botts is lost. I never thought Tim Murray should have been let go when many people were calling for it. He would’ve tried to fix the problem. Not use the cop out of waiting for kids to come up through the system.

Yup Tim Murray was certainly the best was he not.
He was given the best NHL prospect pool as ranked by the NHL Hockey Writers.
Given 8 first or second round draft picks over his first two years.
Drafted extremely well, took Reinhart when Draisaitl was the very next pick and took Nylander when Sergachev was also the very next pick.
His teams after all of the trades finished 2nd last in the Atlantic in 2016, last in the Atlantic in 2017 and last over all in 2018.
His defense was certainly NHL quality:
34 Casey Nelson D 11 Rochester Americans
67 Brady Austin D 5 Kladno
45 Brendan Guhle D 3 San Diego Gulls
46 Erik BurgdoerferD 2 Hershey Bears
77 Dmitri Kulikov D 47 Winnipeg Jets
4 Josh Gorges D 66 Out of hockey
38 Taylor Fedun D 27 Texas Stars
41 Justin Falk D 52 Belleville Senators
47 Zach Bogosian D 56 Tampa Bay Lightning
6 Cody Franson D 68 Omsk Avangard
29 Jake McCabe D 76 Buffalo Sabres
55 Rasmus RistolainenD 79 Buffalo Sabres

Yup let's bring him back so he can make this team great again just he did the first time around.

In the 3 years Botts burnt the team to the ground, all Murray had to do was fix the defense. Doesnt seem like much of a burn there

Just wondering how you figure Murray built a good team?
Was it the number of playoff appearances?
Was it their offensive capabilities?
Was it their defensive prowess?
Was it how the team points improved every year?
Please pick one. I gave my opinion of determining above, I want to hear your specific reasons for thinking Murray was so great.
