Kravstov is good but realistically a 2nd-liner at his best, Howden is one of the worst players in the league, and the pick is whatever. This might be his value right now considering the injuries, but if that’s the case the Blues will hold on to him.

That’s not even close to consider for ST-Louis

just wondering what do the blues even need if they were trading him. A defensive prospect? their current roster seems pretty filled out

Why trade him then ? He’s their legit #1 RW, no reason to trade him

That's pure trash for a player like Tarasenko.

I just think they won’t be trading him, especially now while his value is likely pretty low.

You won’t get to keep a pick this year that is potentially in the lottery so you can deal a 1st rd next that is guaranteed to NOT be in the lottery when you are dealing for a player like Tarasenko. Make it top 3 protected that’s reasonable.

Kravstov and Howden are overvalued in trades on this website. They won't get you much. Howden a bottom six rental maybe and Kravstov, unless he figures out his NA game, a middle six depth piece.

Stl can then resign pietrangelo with the saved cap. How do the Rangers make this trade since they are tight on the cap?

Salary Cap if we are being really honest. Dropping Alexander Steen, Tyler Bozak contracts, and keeping our top Right Winger because we really don't have a second option there, and get rid of the god awful Justin Faulk contract. Then the second priority is getting more defensive prospects in yeah, and maybe a LHD and RHD.
