Hindsight is 20/20 on Fiala for Granlund. At the time Fenton should have (and by reports could have) gotten more for Granlund. Granny was a 60+ point winger for us and Fiala had one great season and a leg injury. I would have made that trade at the time if I were Poile

That Stanley Cup Final run doesn’t happen without Subban or Johansen. They probably win the cup if Johansen doesn’t get injured. That’s a memory Preds fans shouldn’t trade for anything.

Girard, isn’t the player he is today if he was playing 3rd pairing minutes in NSH behind Josi and Ekholm

Hartman, that was a bad trade for sure

Everyone loved the Granlund trade for NSH so it’s hard to
        Fault him for that

Weber vs Subban wasn’t bad because they went into conference finals, but what saved that trade is getting high picks from NJ before Subban’s value goes to zero. But MTL won this trade IMO, but again NSH went into conference final with Subban

The Preds never got past the 2nd round with Weber. Great player and a hall of famer, but NSH did the right thing and Subban brought a lot of excitement to the Nashville fan base. I went to 2 games against the Ducks in the conference final and Subban was a rockstar down there.

That’s all PK has got on Weber

Weber is more intelligent, has the better shot, is more respected by his colleagues throughout the league, defends better...

Subban is the most overrated players of the past decade, bar non... dumb as, I wouldn’t have moved a for this seflish player, even duruing his best years... AKA being carried by Markov

Subban in MTL was an elite defensemen. He was a difference Maker. Idk how you can hate him. He carried that team year after year with price.

Haha no Markov’s intelligence made him look great

His offense is all that he has. And even then way too much risk taking (dumb mistakes all the time), plays a non sustainable style...

Subban was fine, but was also the moron that lit a fire under Crosby’s ass with that mouth wash stuff. He also was fine at best defensively.

Without subban they don’t make the 2017 finals. I think preds are fine with the subban trade because it was their only cup run in franchise history.

That trade at first looked really bad for Montreal. During subbans first two years in Nashville he was better than Weber. He got them to the Stanley cup finals, and was nominated for the Norris the next year. Subban fell off a cliff quick. No one expected that to happen.

I’ve been watching the Habs for years. And u cheer for him for the first 50 minutes of the game but then he takes a stupid penalty or turnover that costs u games.

They don't even win it with a prime nick lidstrom, their centers just couldn't match up

Myself along with dozens of none emotional Habs fans were thrilled to get Weber. He was clearly better the second he arrived and was on a not so good team

He was the offensive pulse they needed though. He constantly was their best offensive player and they didn’t have a lot. He made a lot of mistakes sure, but habs were a much more successful team with subban than with Weber.

He actually wasn’t better at first like I pointed out. Subban aged poorly. At the time MTL got fleeced.
