I think Philly could be a good trading partner but I don't think this package would do it for us

What's a good trade with Philly? This would be good for the Leafs because Philly has a lot of good prospects that TO would want in a JVR trade.

I would think it would have to include a defensive prospect (Sanheim/Provorov) or some draft picks and we could take Matt Reads contract back, idk how willing Flyer fans are to part ways with their defenseman though

Del Zotto and Read or Raffl and maybe Cousins but no chance at Sanheim or Provorov

Considering who'd have to be left available for the expansion draft if we add JVR, could add Laughton to the deal. Don't see this happening though.

I would rather keep Laughton than Cousins only for the fact that we need LWers. Laughton would be our 7th protected.

I actually like the idea of bringing JVR back...strong LW scorer is what we need. Imagine if that asshat Holmgren had never made that awful trade!
