I like Saad. Might be a slight (very slight) overpay. But considering the money being retained it makes sense. Also i think Chara will sign for 1M. I think he will take a lower salary to help the team. He’s a great leader like that.

I am pretty sure you will be regretting Trouba's contract when your top players are needing new contracts. Have fun fitting everyone in

With Boston being the front runner to win the cup, wouldn't contender be a down grade?

Trouba literally looked better at defense than in years past and his offense dropped because of Ruff

are they tho? Definitely top 5 but Colorado, Tampa, St Louis, and possibly Vegas should be in the convo as well.

Don't think the Hawks would have any interest in Zboril. If you swap him out for Frederic and change the conditional 2nd to a conditional 3rd, I think that is better

And have fun with spending roughly half of your cap on 4 forwards

Edit: who all take a night or two off every few weeks

I don’t mind the trade as constructed, but....

Exactly, we have no interest in Zboril. I wouldn't do this for Frederick and Wagner though and a conditional 2nd, I get needing to move Wagner for cap space maybe I'm wrong, I'm not sure Frederick will be anything more then a tweener NHL/AHL player. If i'm wrong, then a bottom 6 prospect and Wagner as a dump plus the conditional 2nd and 1st is pretty good value.

I think it is a fair trade for Saad too, but if the Hawks acquired Zbroil I think he'd be in the AHL until they released him. He's the worst of the Bruins 2015 draft flop and that is saying something because Senyshyn was supposed to go in round two

I could see Frederic being a good 3C and with Dach, Strome and Toews I think that would be perfect

I see him more as a 4C given that I've read he's not very fast, if he's even a NHL player which is fine, but again...I'm not following him.

Overpay even with the retained and I like Saad.

Bowman probably not looking to retain salary.

Good RFA and UFA deals
maybe too much for chara

Moore's deal is good

IDK if the bruins do (or need to do) the Saad deal, is he really the 2nd line winger they need?
In saying that, replace Saad with someone else (and replace wagner with like Kuhlman) and I think that is a terrific package to give up

Overall: pretty good man!

He'll probably crack the roster as a #4C or #3LW. While he's not a fast skater, he's also not a slow skater. Not sure Boston would want to move him because he can play C/LW and because he plays a Bruin style of psychical hockey while adding in a 200ft game.

hawks accept. Maybe even a slight overpay by boston. But its good to see someone on here value saad correctly. most think a 2nd round pick gets it done

Yes they are according to the odds makers in Vegas been that way pretty much all season.
