kinda intentional here in that he doesn't. these don't always work out. However, given the desperate situation of the Sabres I could see them attempting anything to get something... of course in this perspective who knows if Nosek signs

Like trades where a team trades for a players rights and then doesn't sign him.

Nosek and a 5th for Hutton. Vegas wouldn't take Hutton, and his contract, if he was in waivers...

Larsson doesn't have rights to be traded. He'll be a UFA this off season.

Hayes' rights were only traded so that he could get an 8 yr deal. Larsson is a 4th line player not warranting an 8 yr deal. Trading his rights doesn't make sense
