Description
I have seen a few Carolina fans try to move Skjei. I have seen some Montreal fans say no way do we need him with all the LD prospects we have coming. I disagree, if we were able to land Skjei for what I have seen him offered up at by some Canes fans then we should absolutely go get him. Prospects are exactly that prospects. Skjei is a solid d-man that would play in our top pair day one.
The second trade I hate to make because I love Lehkonen, but the truth of the matter is he just can’t seem to put the puck in the net. Killorn will be able to fill the hole left by trading Tatar and he is controllable for the next two seasons as we wait for Perfetti to get ready (Hopefully)
Give me some feed back Tampa, Canes and Habs fans as to what needs to be added or subtracted. Form these moves.
Domi gets show me deal to see if he can play and produce on the wing with quality players.

Skjei = 2020 2rd(STL) + 2021 4th(STL)
Suzuki + Martinook + 2021 1st = Tatar + Pitlick
This is a combination of a couple different trade perposed by Can's fans and modified slightly.
It move's out Skjei which they seem to want to move out. They also get a scoring winger in Tatar that they are looking for.
Montreal gets a top 4 LD that many Montreal fans will say we don't need because of all the young prospects we have but prospects are just that prospects. Skjei is a proven player that can play in our top 4 for years.

I think if we're trading for a top 4 LHD we should use some of our LD prospects (Struble or Norlinder) to get a better player than Skjei.

Finally another person that gets it. I fight with my few Hab fans about the statement "we have way to many LD prospects".

I like the trades. all teams involved wins. Tbay gets cap relief while adding a top 9 winger, Carolina gets one of the most underrated goal scorers in the NHL. if you want a consistent 20 goals every season from a player...Tatar is that.

My point with this AGM is that we need to improve our LD now..... not 3-4 years from now. I personally like Skjei's game and believe he can fit right into our top four giving Romanov some time to get use to the North American game and ice.

Bergevin decline that Tampa trade, even if it’s good value coming back

I'm all in in your trades but got a couple questions.
1. Why not getting a 2020 1st? 19th overall so Carolina could avoid gambling next year's pick (See SJ situation) and at this spot Montreal could get a very good prospect a year earlier. Amirrov, Wallinder, Guhle or a falling Lapierre could be picked there.
2. Why bringing Paquette in this deal? He's not much of a dump for TB and I feel like Evans got full rights to fourth line duties and is ready to assume it. /// After thinking it through let's take him but put him at 4LW and let's put Evans at 4C.

Good job on bringing new stuff

1. The bases of the Carolina trade was something in part that I had saw from a Carolina fan. I also believe that to get both a 1st round pick and Ryan Suzuki it had to be a 2021 1st instead of a 2020
2. No he isn't a huge cap dump for Tampa but for them every little bit helps. I have seen talk of bring Nate Thompson back or Dale Weise, I just think that Paquette brings more to the table. I agree that Evans is close if not ready, this upcoming playoff series with Pittsburg will tell us a lot about that.
