I think the Blackhawks are likely to accept that trade.

That is ALOT to give up for Hertl. Hope Gorton would not do a deal like that.

You trade your best goalie prospect for scratch tickets?

He's likely the 3rd best goalie prospect in all fairness (heck maybe 4th best if you include Subban) and we might draft Askarov...who knows??? But I don't think he'll be an NHL caliber goalie so why not get pick #75 in a deep draft?

He played against pros last year at IIHF and put up a 9.42 SV% to win Finland the tournament. You severely underrate him. Drafting Askarov does nothing now, hes no where near NHL ready. Give him at least 3 years.

I mean...he had a good tourney a few years ago, but that's a handful of games. He's 25 with 2 seasons in the AHL and EACH of those seasons were worse than Colin Delia. So best prospect is VERY hard to prove. He's firmly behind Delia in my opinion. Also, don't forget that he did start his 2nd season with Hawks on their ECHL affiliate. Also, not many people realize this outside the Hawks fan base, but the Hawks do have Ivan Nalimov which pre-COVID expressed interest in finally coming to the NHL. He has 6 seasons in the KHL...I'm not saying he's a Shesterkin or Sorokin, but Nalimov is likely as good or better a prospect than Delia.

IMO Nalimov > Delia > Lankinen
