Brodie

Created by: nics6ix
Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 16, 2020
Published: Jun. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is all dependant on if Brodie would be willing to sign at $5.5 mill.

Kerfoot and a 2nd go to LA in order to get a replacement 3rd line centre, while LA gets a third-line centre themselves as well as another of their plethora of draft picks this year

Johnsson goes to the Canadiens for a couple of nice draft picks as the Canadiens have some to give, and Johnsson would be used to play on first or second line with either Domi (if he resigns) or Denault.

Engvall just for a pick to really any team

And last note is that I did not trade Dermott which I could have, but if he signs with another team, I would gladly accept the compensation price (either a 3rd or a 2nd) or let him sit a year and take a shot at him in FA if Lehtonen doesn't work out.

Convincing Brodie to move his 1 year old and wife with MS to to Toronto wont be easy. I expect he stays put of goes south for sunny weather.

As a Calgary fan, how do you see Travis Hamonic because I have yet to hear a Calgary fan's thoughts on Hamonic? And I respect that about Brodie, staying in Calgary makes sense for his personal life.

MTL already have plenty of depth, what they need is more impactful players.

Plus it's not because they have picks that they should just throw them away, especially when they have all the leverage as TOR need to shed cap.

great #4 shut down D, like a lot of other Flames he had a miserable year. Last year he had excellent synergy with Hanifin and this year he had none. He also had a couple injuries this year, best way to judge would be to watch him this playoffs. I expect he will be paired with Gustafson

Since Kerfoot's been added as a sidepiece in this Avalanche trade he's been a prime target for every other NHL team according to TML fanbase.

It will be a race to see who can decline faster, NJ or Montreal.
