Blues need cap space not take on more cap. 1.8M and 3.5M together is taking more cap than giving up. Blues wouldn't do that just for that reason.

The fact that Luke Fox even gave any credence to such a thought, the Leafs taking back Bozak, is quite ridiculous, in my opinion. The Leafs had every opportunity to match the Blues offer when Bozak had hit free agency, and he and his wife were very happy in Toronto, yet Toronto chose to go in a different direction because of the salary cap problems they were having then. Just look at the cap problems they are having now. They could find a much better, cheaper and younger center to fill 3C duties.
