Description
Theoretically after moving Jugs+JJ that leaves us with just over 20M for 3F, 2D & 2G if we didn't promote/use anyone from LTIR. (guys in LTIR are all who I think may end up playing for us next year.)

First order of business is figuring out WTF to do in the crease.. It's not an easy decision and a decision I doubt Rutherford thought/wanted to be in after Fluery/Murray. I've been back and forth on who to keep and at this point have no idea who I'd rather.. although Rutherford did say Murray would've been his man come playoff time: https://www.nhl.com/news/pittsburgh-penguins-goalie-update-matt-murray-tristan-jarry/c-316829384

We have a serviceable backup in DeSmith for cheap, so moving 1 goalie doesn't seem like it would be terrible.. If I had to choose rn, I guess I'd go with moving Jarry. What package that looks like? Jack Campbell + Clifford fetched a decent return of T.Moore + 3rd + conditional 3rd, if Jarry if better + younger than Campbell, would it be a stretch to swap Labanc for Jarry? If so, what would either team have to add? I think this works out well for both teams, but I'd be willing to negotiate some other pieces if need be.

My ideal off season would have these 2 traded to clear up short + mid-term salary. I doubt Jugs costs more than a 4th at most to move and JJ maybe a mid tier prospect + middle pick.

After being one of the most injured teams in the league, and by what, 1 point?

edit: not to mention they're the #7 team in the league tears of joy

idk if you tried to chirp the Pens but at least do your research if you are

After reviewing I agree, think he may take it in a 4 year deal though. That is 4x what he makes right now

Tampa would match that offersheet in a second. If jarry gets the playoff time and looks good do you move Murray instead and would that get you lebanc

Tampa is going to 100% prioritize Cirelli+Serg and there won't be enough money for Cernak at 3M.
Unless of course they take massive discounts, which could be possible

I'm not sure honestly, It's such a tough spot to be in.. its way harder IMO than Fluery-Murray because 1 was what, 31/32 and the other was 22/23 or whatever coming off 2 Stanley cups..
I 100% believe that Murray will be the starter when/if we come back and play, but if he falters and Jarry takes the reigns and does good, man idk! tears of joy

It wasn't a chirp. This team is 2020-21 but the title was about 2020
