That's a very bad trade for Buffalo. Lindholm or Tkachuk would need to be going the other way. If it's Lindholm another 1st and Mangiapane have to be going back to Buffalo as well.

Trade not happening now with Botts gone. Not for a couple years at least. Eichel loves Krueger and Krueger's taking over.

I agree, I doubt Eichel moves.

If Eichel wanted out it would still take more than this

Oh really? Who out there is going to give up more than two 1st line players 26 and 25 years old, a 23 year old top 4 D and a mid 1st round pick in a deep draft?

If Eichel did want out and the Sabres wanted to go scorched earth, then yeah, this isn't the package. But if they want to try and ice a competitive team I'd love to see a better offer than this one.

If they decided to move Eichel then there is no reason to not go scorched earth they do not have enough other quality pieces to be competitive

oh for G-d's sake can this stop already. No, we do not consider Bennett an acceptable return for Anderson. That hasn't changed over the last ten months' worth of proposals and it's not going to change again anytime soon, if ever.

haha what? are you serious man. 2 first line players, a top 2 dman and a 1st?????
I would say 100% to this if i was Buffalo.

That 1st will be a lottery pick as well.

Don't they have that other guys who's supposed to be pretty good? What's his name again? Dahl-something or other?

It'd be a rebuild for sure but not a total tear down. They'd be looking for young guys with upside and term I'd think. Not guys with 2-3 years of control left.

One player does not make a franchise. Ottawa didn't decide to only retool and not rebuild because they had Chabot. Same with Detroit and Larkin. The Sabres only have a few high end pieces. Eichel, Dahlin and Cozens. Eichel being the biggest and most important piece. Cozens is a year or 2 away from.being a significant contributor in all likelihood. So yes if you take Eichel out then you should look to move Skinner if you can and Reinhart if the return would be significant and Montour and Risto and Johannson

Fair. Dahlin is young enough to survive a full rebuild. Nowhere near his prime.
