I don't see why TOR wouldn't qualify him, but he is going to be waiver eligible next season so maybe BUF could snag him there for free.

I think Bracco on 1st line with zero games nhl experience and then Granlund at 2C could be considered high risk moves. Also Risto and Oleksiak as my 2nd pair D is kinda scary. I agree with the value on the trades though. Would like to see Oleksiak alas 6th or 7th dman and Granlund as third line wing. Can kick into 3C if Cozens is struggling with that role

No shot Dallas does that deal & gives up their 1st Round pick. Oleksiak and Montour are identical in value and Tage Thompson isn't enough of an asset to warrant Dallas giving up a 1st Round Pick.

Oleksiak is better than Montour, and TT is worth like a third (at best)

value is fine for the avs but would rather try to sign someone else with the cap space.

Granlund should be nowhere near playing the center position. Signed every Wild fan.

Oh my bad ... I didn't realize that had any relevance whatsoever to your comment.

Because it doesn't.

I feel like I've seen Johansson-to-Avs in at least 5 AGM's the last couple of days. Where is this idea coming from? Avs have absolutely zero interest in him.

A guy who wants a chance to play somewhere else and there isn’t a trade market for. Teams do it all the time, let them become ufas not giving them QO

But you do you. Don’t act shocked if leafs decide they don’t want to burn a contract on a guy

if that was offered sure. Bracco can qb the pp and can sign a 1 year show me deal with them. He could either impress or fail.

How are Rig and Montour equal value? We gave up a fourth to get Rig. They gave up a first to get Montour. I’m all for the swap and feel like the first is too steep, but I don’t think Oleksiak and a second for Montour is unreasonable. Adding Thompson doesn’t make the bump to a first round pick either. Maybe add a third rounder for him

Go compare Oleksiak & Montour. Defensively Oleksiak is significantly better than Montour, and offensively Montour is the superior defenseman.

Don’t base their value off of what they were last traded for. Filip Forsberg was traded for Martin Erat. We can all agree that Forsberg’s value is significantly different than it was when he was traded.

I don’t disagree. I think Rig has shown he can handle top four minutes and has increased his value. I also think Montour has shown deficiencies at defending and has lowered his value. But Montour still produces offense which is very valuable in this league. I think he would be a perfect fit for us as we have the system to support where he struggles and we need his offensive and possession driving abilities on the attack. Which is why I wouldn’t hesitate if they asked for Rig and a second or Fox and a third

OK but asking for a trade does not mean that he's not getting a QO.

And not being traded does not mean he has zero value.

You can put Puljujarvi in the exact same category (not in terms of potential but in terms of situation).
