Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Eighteenth of a series ending on June 30. Mainly doing these to get a better understanding of teams I’m not a “fan” of per say.

Any trade I make will also show up for the other team when I get to that team.

Don’t get mad at me for the lines for the whole series really since I’ll be using the lines before the stoppage and will factor in injured players where I see fit...though do feel free to make suggestions on the lines.

New Jersey Devils:
Maata trade is pretty self explanatory. They get a stop gap option for a 3rd. They might be able to turn that into a 2nd come tdl.

Montour comes in to hopefully replace subban in the long term. If montour doesn’t work out then they can trade him for similar value assets down the road.

A 2nd and 4th are what he’s worth imo. Just because u overpaid for him doesn’t mean you will get and overpayment for him

If you see my ac gm for buffalo, it’s a little less than what I paid for tierney. So it was basically a montour for tierney swap

In my opinion I dont think we overpaid that much. The prospect mightve been a bit heavy but I dont think we miss him rn.
And I wouldnt trade montour for Tierney I know others would.
We just misused montour for most of the year. I think he is a core part of the D.
I would trade risto to make room for monty on the right side.

I think a third is fair value for maatta, definitely can make it a conditional third based on how he plays.

The 4th will basically be a late 3rd. I don’t see nj moving the 3td because it will be too high

If you guys plan to flip him at the deadline anyways I don’t see the point of not just making it a third... perhaps Arizona third? I don’t want to pull a buffalo sabers lol.

Was going to say the same thing; make it the 2021 AZ 3rd round pick. AZ is not going to be that high, they are playoff bubble team or better.

I mean there’s only so much I can do with these 31 in 31s. With a flat cap some of them are really hard
