Jokiharju is worth more than that. Buffalo likes him and I dont see them moving him. Then again after yesterday, there new gm Kevyn Adams may be open to trading him for a good return

That said that package does not get him

Look at it this way....

How you feel if Buffalo called up the Leafs and said... "Hey, can we give you an top nine forward coming off of a bad season and an even worse injury and a bunch of spare parts for Rasmus Sandin?"

Easy no from the Sabres.

Bracco and Duszek are next to nothing in the deal here.. so Andreas Johnsson for Joki AND a top 40 pick.. that’s gonna be a hard pass

comparing him to rasmus sandin is quite a stretch and hyperbolic but your point stands, plus I think any owner would put their gm on the hot seat for an in-division trade that creates far more benefit for the other team given leafs would love any skilled young RHD.

Why do you think it’s a stretch? They were drafted near the same, put up near the same numbers in every league they’ve played in, and both look like real good prospects to play real well at the NHL level. I’d say they compare pretty well to one another

Idk about better. They’re 19/20 respectively, and both are playing in the NHL, neither look lost, and are on a similar trajectory. Why don’t we wait to have The Who’s better debate until both have proven something, or at least once their outta their entry level contracts. I only say anything when someone says that they’re not on the same level. Of course they are. They’re really fairly close.

i was going to say that sandin is ~2 years younger but its jokijarhus birthday today and its a ~1 year difference lol, i thought the age difference was bigger and was gonna say sandins playing similarly to him while being younger but it's only a year difference. sandin was best defenseman at WJC so i think he has higher upside than joki but like you said, both good, up and coming comparable prospects. i was mainly trying to focus on the age difference but did my research but only time will tell from here

Yeah like I just said, they comp really well with each other up to now. Let’s wait a little for The Who’s better debate
