Why give up a 2nd when u could get one like edmundson or Dillon for free? They are both better too imo. And I don’t think they only need a fringe top 4 guy. They need a number 4 d-man.

I’m saying that dermott will cost at least 2M to resign. And at least edmundson will come in at under 3.5 imo. I’d rather have the cost less edmundson instead of giving up a 2nd. I would much rather have the 2nd than “upside” that a player likely won’t reach. Imo his upside is edmundson or Dillon so if we can just get the same thing then why not. I’m just not a big dermott believer.

Honestly, just make it Faksa instead of Dickinson and you probably have a deal. May look for a 2nd & 3rd instead (or a package involving Johnsson), but I don’t think you’re that far off on a trade for Faksa here
