If I'm in charge of Ottawa I'd probably ask for a 3rd (DAL) and 4th (NYR). But even for that offer I think Melnyk says no.

In as unbiased an opinion as I can offer, that deal Strome deal looks pretty good. Honestly, you could lower the points total condition and it would still be fine. If he can be a near .5 PPG player, provide usage on the PP, and potentially work with someone like Robertson on one of his wings in in year 1, there shouldn’t be much of an issue giving up a 2nd for him.
