So you give up those pieces, Only to put Jokiharju on the bottom pairing. Yeah that makes tons of sense.

So when ever I see a Jokiharu Trade, I always say to myself, “would I take this offer for Sandin???”
And tbh, maybe if you add a pick I would.

Yep, as a Buf fan, I could get behind something like this with a mid round pick I think. Couple middle sixers that are starting to bud that could become top line guys. Good job OP

No. Joki isn't going anywhere. Do you understand how good he was with us, one of the worst teams in the league? He is the long-term partner for Dahlin and therefore untouchable. You can have Montour, Miller, or Borgen for your bottom pair

The point is the trade not where he is on the mock lineup. He’s on the starting roster. How the lines shake out are insignificant here.

So the guy you got for Alex Nylander is now worth nothing less than William Nylander?

Hey man, tbh I really don’t know how good he was with you guys, he never jumped off the screen the sabres games I did see. Was he on the top pair and able to match up with opposing teams top lines and not get caved in? I’d love to know more about him from a educated view. does he play PP1 and/or PK1? Thanks.

A lot of time has passed since the Jokiharju-Nylander swap. Jokiharju is now one of the best RHD up-and-comers and is worth a lot more than Kapanen and Johnsson...

His numbers are pretty good considering he is 21 and played on a really terrible team. He is on the 2nd PP and PK unit, seemed like Kruger gave him more sheltered minutes which was good. He makes extremely smart decisions with and without the puck. TBH I don't know if I ever saw him make a mistake that led to a goal against us which is a first for Sabres D.

He did but not many. He had a few real doozies but was by far our most consistent dman in our end.

Ahhh i see, solid start to a career. thanks for the insight. Would you consider this deal if a second rounder was included or perhaps Bracco instead of kral?

No I wouldn't consider it at all, Joki is untouchable and I still don't think you grasp that
