Detroit sings Pietrangelo for 2x15 and retains $5m on the deal, And then gives up Cholowski and Glendening for Allen and Thomas. Yeah i doubt Pietrangelo would even sign with Detroit he sure as hell isn't signing for 2 years. Detroit not signing him just to trade him. This whole deal is simply ludicrous.

2x10m retain 5m, STL gets him for 5m for the next 2 years.

Why would Detroit do that though? First off Pietrangelo isn't wasting his time on a 2 year deal. If St Louis can unload on Steen, Allen and Bozak which shouldn't be a problem. They can easily resign their Captain.

The thought was keeping Pietrangelo, Steen & Bozak gave them a better shot at another cup over the next two years.

Do you know how good Robert Thomas is? There’s absolutely no chance the Blues would lose him from trying to sign pietrangelo.

Yeah i know Thomas is very good, Detroit's not making the deal because Armstrong isn't moving Thomas. Wouldn't mind Allen for one season as a 1a/1b with Bernier though.

This is probably just the weirdest acgm thing I have seen it just makes no sense at all
