Why is Tuch on the 4th line, and if you think hes a 4th liner, why would you give up Kahun for him

All you did was get older and shuffled deck chairs for the rest of it. This team is still very much a bubble team and has a very limited window of being just that.

Staal could be an interesting stop-gap for the Sabres but the Wild can't afford to trade him unless we made an offer sheet for Cirelli or acquired a C in a different trade (Victor Rask would become our 2C after this trade). I'm not sure if the Sabres should add a rental C yet though.

Canucks trade is pointless. We already have our top six dude, and Virtanen, Sutter, and Gaudette are really good bottom 6 guys for us. Our top six has boeser, toffo, Petterson, Horvat, Pearson, Miller, and if leivo returns, he was having a pretty decent season with Horvat and Pearson. So you just got rejected son

I can't wait for Benning to give Tofoli a ridiculous contract this summer. He'll give him 7 years at 7.5 million or something ridiculous and you'll have a 7 million dollar 40 point player. Its going to be terrific. Benning is such a ****ty GM.

He drafts well, he just needs to learn to put the phone down on July 1st.

He has made a couple of good draft picks and many other questionable moves. Benning is a bad GM, they are going to have huge problems with salary in a couple of years.

Because of July 1 signings. Myers, Ericksson, Beagle, and Roussell all come to mind as bad UFA acquisitions.

He's 100% going to do it again in the next off season. Especially if they make it past Minnesota. He just doesn't seem to understand that a) players age and b) FA always cost more than they are worth.

I agree. And that's why he's known more for his solid drafting than his free agency signings. And without Judd Bracket to help with scouting, who knows if he will still be working for the Canucks in 2021.

Honestly that's why I didn't get the JT Miller trade. He played well for them, but was he worth a 1st round pick in a deep draft for a team that isn't ready to be a Cup contender just yet? I wouldn't say so. You trade your first round pick if you're a lock to be a playoff team and you're looking for that player to put you over the top imo.

Benning has struck me as a guy that doesn't really know what he's doing. He is rebuilding but signs Eriksson, then they have a pretty good year with Petterson but the defence wasn't good so he signs Myers of all people. He's just all over the map.
