Description

Rangers clear some cap room this season and fill a hole on the left side, Carolina clears room for next season to re-sign Hamilton. Staal waives his NMC for a chance to play with brother and avoid being buried in the AHL.

Me neither - Gardiner > Staal in skill and Gardiner > Staal in contract and the difference is not a 2022 3rd

I like the fit for Zadorov in NY.

In terms of the value, Barron and Ronning is a wash so that doesn't really move the needle.

I'd want an additional 3rd for Zadorov (i.e. 2nd + 3rd) or an equivalently valued LHD prospect. (eg. Robertson + 3rd, or 2nd + Jones/Ragnarsson)

DeAngelo probably gets bridged, 2 or 3 year deal max.

Not sure on Sharks trade as I do not know what Dahlen is projected to be.
Carolina flat rejects that trade.
Ottawa rejects that trade, need to add decent asset to trade.
