No thanks on Kulak. Would rather keep the pick and capspace.

I think Steen would make more sense in this trade, especially if you are trading Lehkonen.

Montreal already has Danault, Domi, Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Evans, and even Poehling, adding another C in Bozak doesn't make much sense.

Additionally, Steen has a higher cap hit and is less valuable to the Blues at this point than Bozak, so the compensation should be better (maybe MTL doesn't have to add the 2nd?).

This is obviously assuming there are no issues with either of Steen or Bozak's NTC's.

Allen would be a very good backup, even though he is overpaid.

I like that better, feeling that taking this 1st with a cap relief of 5M$ plus an overpaid backup goalie (Usefull I admit but stil overpaid) isn't worth giving a mid six, Lindgren and a 2nd.
Lower the pick and it could be fine.

Like for one year and adding high value prospect from a depth drafting 2020.

I Agree on the Blues change: Steen, Allen, 1st for Lehko, Lindgren, Kulak would good on both side as STL need to sign their most IMPORTANT player in Pietro...
and Kulak would take Bouw place as depth D

And MTL select with that 1st pick one of: Wallinder, Poirier, Schneider

I’ve always believed the best way to do it would be dealing Allen and Bozak separately so we don’t have to take back cap. Both have decent value so I’d probably decline this deal because dealing with one team isn’t worth giving up a 1st.

Uhh, no.

- Lindgren has zero value.
- Calling Lehkonen a middle-6 is the height of exaggeration, at least to the Blues. He's a $2.5M 4th line winger to us, no more.
- We have zero use for Kulak. Scandella, who we just got from you, takes J-Bo's spot. We also have two hot LD prospects ready to make the NHL jump.

Besides, neither Bozak nor Steen will waive to come to Montreal.

Take off Lehkonen from the Blues trade, and it's a done deal.

I always get a kick out of ppl saying players will not waive to go to a certain city on here. Also I didn't trade kulak to Stl so you can rest easy lol

It's not even about the city. It's about agreeing to go from a defending champ contender to a rebuild situation. At least in this case.

I meant to quote the guy who added Kulak into the discussion, my bad.

Why, poeple said that Lehkonen was less valuable than a second round pick, and they agreed to take off the second. It's only logical that they would agree to take off Lehkonen...
