Any time a team trades up to get a guy there's a good chance that they see something that other teams don't.

Wonder if this has anything to do with them testing players before the draft combine.

Demers and Goligoski are overpaid and pretty trash. Sabres trade is dumping $10M in cap moving a regressing C and injury prone back up for a top 4 RHD.

That probably played a role. That Hall contract is a massive overpay btw.

Not sure all NHL teams have same thoughts about them. ARI can use that against them.

Raanta is not a backup lmao he played the most games out of any coyotes goalie and ranked 8th in the NHL is save Percentage

Kuemper was the starter over Raanta tho and outplayed him. Not to mention his injury concerns I think it hurts his value and the contract expiring at $4.25M

that's like saying Tavares is a 2C bc he's behind AM... Having a Vezina calibre goalie in front of him shouldn't take away from how good he is (especially when he's proven himself as a starter before

Devils accept. We have the center depth and need draft picks.

Well i mean very few goalies in the league are gonna outplay Kuemper dude is a top 5 goalie in the league that said Raanta is still a very good goalie he does have injury problems but if he can find a way to limit them then the guy can easily be a good starter for a team in need of one but i dont think the Yotes are gonna move on from Raanta

The Coyotes' 2021 2nd is already ours if Hall signs this extension as part of trade condition. This means the Devils are shipping Zacha for a 4th and 6th which isn't happening.
