Why? They were 6-3-1 going into the stoppage, with their l9oses being to Boston, Tampa and Vegas. The OT loss to Nashville. They were the best team in the West last year and have the skill and depth to do it again

I think teams sometimes hit a wall with their core. If they boot it again in the playoffs, I think you have to change things up. They've been a disappointment for so long.

@Ledge_And_Dairy

Assuming we get to see the season played out...I think the playoffs this year are going to answer this question for what Treliving should do with Johnny. If he disappears when the real season begins again, then it's best for the team and the player to give him a change of scenery. I have every confidence that Gaudreau would play his heart out in the playoffs in a PHI uniform with Kevin Hayes and Claude Giroux on his line.
