That is a bold move. I don't think Patrick will even reach the skill of Nylander with all of his injuries. That's a risky trade and downgrade.

it's pretty risky, I tried to get him for term at that number. say he signs for 925k and puts up 65 points somehow, then the Leafs are right back into cap hell

Name them, there's not many better and cheaper 3C's available and it's doubtful Kerfoot is actually available.
