Debatable. I think Connor is better.

Offensively sure.. it's really close.

That's pretty much where the debate ends. Connor's terrible in his own end and Ehlers is a true 2way player.

Definitely would be a really close debate though, between the two.

Offensively? Yeah. Both pretty good play drivers. I think Connor's much better on the PP.

Laine > Ehlers

And I believe in the long term Laine will > Connor, but not right now

Connor’s only two advantages over Ehlers is his hands and net front finishing. Ehlers is a much better skater, better in the d-zone, and is a much better transition and neutral zone player. The only reason Connor scores more points is because he plays 5 more minutes than Ehlers every game and gets to play on the Jets’ PP1 unit while Ehlers does not.

yeah I agree. I rank it as:

Scheifele> Connor>Laine> Ehlers

Laine is an interesting player. after his second year it seemed like he was poised to become a perennial 40 goal scorer. Despite his insane hot streak last year he struggled heavily. Evan this year he was only on pace for 33 goals in 82 games. He was much better his first two seasons. Idk what happened but he has too much talent to not get back on track

There's a reason he plays more... if ehlers would be better he would have those minutes

Conner all day every day , hes a beast in the playoffs as well, Ehlers just seems to disappear

Could you imagine saying he was on pace for ONLY 43 goals... if that’s disappointing idk what you’re on. I’d take Laine putting up 43-40 every year. Not very often you get a perennial 40 goal scorer.

I think it goes:

Scheifele>Laine>Connor>Ehlers

That was a typo. My bad. It was 33 goals. He can do better than that

Can agree that he could do better, I see him ending up getting 40+ Goals and 35+ Assists a year
