Perfect Broberg trade!! He's bad at hockey, and so is Severson!!! (You traded Bear who is miles better than Severson lol)

hard no on all those deals.
Oilers blueline is very impressive considering age and growth I don’t think they will be forced into making significant changes to it. The one that really blows me away is instead of just resigning Larsson who I think actually fits in with the team very well used a lot of assets to replace.

Larsson gets hurt all the time and can’t move the puck. And things are only going to get worse for him as he ages.

Sens trade is only one I’d consider here.

I think the COL trade has merit and could be a win win situation.

Larsson gets hurt all the time? Since when? I would need to look it up but I wouldn’t think he’s missed more than 20 games since joining the team. I think he missed some time when his dad passed away but I feel it’s a stretch saying gets hurt all the time

Ya he’s not an elite puck mover but the team has several d that are good puck movers but very few that can and will play a punishing game which oilers don’t have much of. I do respect your point of view I just would go in a different direction.

Larsson has missed significant (20+ games) due to injury in two of the four years he’s played for the Oilers.

Severson is good. His stats this year are misleading due to his disastrous experiment at LD pairing with Subban. Devils say no.

I’m not a fan. Keep Bear, and Broberg!! I’m a huge Severson fan, but ya I would rather Broberg. Don’t like Sundqvist that much to give Benson, and Jones. I think we could get him for cheeper if we wanted him. I would also trade Larsson before this, so we don’t lose him for nothing. Maybe for a winger?

Blues laugh and hang up. A uniquely pointless proposal for us.

The reason Larsson gets so much hate is because of his contract. He plays a sound, defensive, shut down, and physical role on the team. If he was worth a couple million every team would be salivating in getting him.

as good as kapenen is, I wouldn't trade bear for him. Kapenen is better but bear has more value
The colorado trade is interesting
would rather trade AA for picks
Blues probably won't do that trade given that they are contending
Severson isn't really that good

It's just that he's probably gonna ask for 5 mil + and the oilers can't afford him

The fact he doesn’t put up points is helpful for the oilers in his case. I think that keeps him around 4.5-5 which I think is very fair for both.

I feel like in every Free agency period, some team is gonna overpay for a player, Larsson will be one of them

I think it would take an offer 6+ million for him to walk away from his current situation. He’s got a big role on a team that’s just beginning to be a contender. I doubt that offer will come with his production numbers and flat cap

One thing he will also look for is term which I think the oilers are unwilling to do

What would be a more realistic offer?
