I feel like we could get a better deal for De Hann. We don't really know what is going on with the cap, so it's also hard to predict that we would NEED cap space.

Hawks trade could work if we knew for sure Pilut was coming back. He'd give us a lot of options as far as our d prospects go.

Again, the jets don’t want ristolainen and moving roslovic for him definitely isn’t an option

Agreed on the Lindholm deal. Cannot see Calgary moving him. With the Dehaan Trade I like it for Buffalo but probably need to add a conditional pick contingent based upon what Pilut does to ensure Chivago does not risk giving him away for nothing

That's a good idea for Chicago. Not sure what is allowed for conditions, but maybe something like a 3rd that downgrades to a 4th if* Pilut signs a contract with the Hawks?

Agree with StanBo, not sure Hawks need the cap space. In my opinion, I’d like to keep De Haan. Hawks a light on LD depth and when Keith was out, CDH stepped up in a big way. Worse case scenario is he gets reinjured and we can use his cap for LTIR.

Maatta for Pilut without conditions?

With Maatta, Keith, De Haan, Carlsson, Koekko, Beaudin, Seeler, and Gilbert all on the left side, why would the Hawks entertain trading one of those guys away to get another depth guy? The answer shouldn't be to clear cap space because if that's the goal, we can move De Haan for a pick or forward prospect/role player while thinning out the logjam of defensive players/prospects.
