Usually the pattern the last couple years is the top 3 picks play in the NHL.
This draft is stacked how many prospects outside of the top 3 will play in the NHL this year?
Honestly only Laffy and maybe a D like Schnieder are ready in my opinion. Stutzle will spend atleast another year out of the league, and this may not happen, but Byfield could use another seasoning year in the CHL again.

Honestly think the league needs to adjust its rules to let younger guys play in the AHL. So many young elite talents that are to good for Euro leagues or Junior are being sent there because they're slightly not ready for the NHL. Be nice to let them go to the AHL, not be punished and develop

Id say the issue is lots of CHL players wouldnt feel comfortable playing overseas in Russia or finland, which gives a development advantage to euro players. A guy like Rossi could easily go play in the DEL next year and be close to home and happy against men. However someone like Byfield would take much more convincing to go somewhere hes never been, far from home and in a place where they speak a different language.
If they don't start till like January, I could see Raymond Rossi Byfield Lundell Stutzle and obv laf being ready, possibly Drysdale and Perfetti as well, I could see Amirov Zary and Holtz getting 9 games as well possibly a few other guys, maybe Andrae or Grans
Combination of a good draft plus flat cap plus late start to season plus many of the teams drafting high will also have veterans that haven’t played in nearly a year could easily open a wider range of fresh draftees chances. If all the other leagues start on time that could give an extra few months being in mid season form joining camp it’s an extremely unique situation.
It should be interesting because I think Rossi can play in the AHL. Maybe teams wouldn’t see the point to dominate the OHL again.
If they extend the CHL NHL agreement then I don't think he's eligible to play in the AHL. Even though he is European born he is still considered a North American prospect and is part of the CHL
