Hard to argue with either deal from a Buffalo perspective. But Thompson on his off wing? I doubt it. Why not Ruotsalainen? Don't want all our European players to leave for the KHL.

Thompson is not waiver exempt and ruotsalainen takes the olofsson route.

Looks good. If you guys aren’t gonna give Tage a fair shot add him to the Dallas deal and we’ll add a later pick or prospect. Kiviranta would be a nice fit for that 4LW slot

I’d switch the 2nd and 4th between Buffalo and Anaheim. Risto is both far younger and cheaper so it should lean in Buffalo’s favor.

I wouldn’t make the Dallas trade though as if we trade Risto we need another more experienced RHD. Not a great idea to go with Miller, Joki, and a rookie in Borgen.

I'm not worried about it. Defensive system is easier to implement than offensive talent. Nothing too special with those guys either
