The players with NTC probably won’t be waiving to play in Buffalo.

Did you target players with no trade clauses?

unlikely... however it's still worth inquiring.

Yeah for sure players have been waiving to play in Buffalo. They are a bigger mess now so I don’t think it’s a top option.

if i were a player barely getting minutes on another team and was given an offer that meant more minutes, i'd prob take it... ice time means a lot to players

I like Koekkoek. Cheap defenseman who will do well with the right partner and the right assignments. Won't be a top guy but he was doing pretty well for a string of games this season

Winning means alot too. Sure maybe not getting alot of ice time on a contender like Tampa may suck at times but contributing to a winner has it's own appeal.

If referring to TB wingers...I'd much rather fight for the cup even a minimal role than waste another 10 years without a single playoff season...

I don’t know about that. Foligno is an interesting thought. Foligno has been a great player for the CBJ but it is almost a foregone conclusion that after next season his time will be up in Columbus. The Jackets will likely make either Jenner or most likely Jones the next captain of this team. Foligno obviously has ties to Buffalo and could provide some veteran leadership to a team who could use it. Plus, he is not a bad player either.

I think you're right and in a contract year it means even more, a guy looking for another deal somewhere might waive to go to a team where they know they'll get good ice time and can showcase themselves.

Don’t see how jost fit. They have their own issue with middlestat. I don’t see a realistic jost move unless they straight up giving him away for futures or part of a bigger trade (reinhart)

I suspect (or hope) he'll be willing to take a discount to stay.

Alex Tuch in Las Vegas.

MacKenzie Weegar in Florida and Scott Mayfield on the Island. Doesn't hurt to ask, especially since Buffalo will be shopping all of its RD's (with the possible exception of Jokiharju, and various teams will be asking about him).

And don't think for a minute that Brisebois won't be calling around about all of his big-ticket guys, NMCs or NTCs notwithstanding.

Too much panic. you will never build a solid team around Echell panicking

They should be what assets would they have to give up, and what for. Foligno, has 1 year on his contract. Why give up assets. A. he's not pushing you to a cup, B. it's one year to FA.

This team needs to slow down it's process think clearly.

Keep building Echell is only 23.
There is plenty of time to keep building the stage around him. Building a winner takes years.
It's not like they don't have good players coming in. And picking so high with that pick, is a great opportunity to have another one in like 2 years.
