1. You are overpaying Cirelli by 2M to only get 1 year of UFA.
2. Tampa is confused because that 7oa pick likely turns out better than Cirelli. Also they arent selling their 2C for futures when they are trying to win now

And? AND? Have you looked at their cap situation? Some of those contracts are going to bite them in the ass and before you know it, this team is going to be in cap hell. Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak are all going to need new contracts this offseason, and right now, they’re not going to be able to sign any of those guys long term, to the money they want.

You must be new here, this has been a topic discussed into oblivion for over a year

No I’m not. I’m just saying. Those contracts are going to bite them in the ass. Especially with that Ryan McDonagh contract, if they want to keep those three around, then they’re going to have to make moves, and a LOT of them.

I’d say most of these get rejected. Don’t think Tage or Montour have much value at this point. neither does Risto.

Tampa is in win now mode, Brisebois isn't trading his 2C for picks only. What part of that don't you understand?

Tampa is going to either have to take multiple picks or still move further money out. The only reason I've kept it purely picks is due to the cap space savings are maxed out then. Even Mitts would cost just under 1mil. That's how I'm approaching the trade. Value wise it should be fine as it outweighs an offersheet compensation but if they want skaters it doesn't exactly fix their cap conundrum.

Obviously, no Sabres have any value......

Just so you know the Thompson trade was taken from a Wild's fan and the Risto trade was from a different GM Team and it was seen as good. The alternative was Montour for Bennett, 2020 2nd and a 2022 4th which was deemed fair. Montour in this case is what we traded for him minus a medium high tier prospect.

That’s cool. I’m not sure that makes it any more valid though. Poor trade ideas can come from any team’s fans. That’s the beauty of this place lol.
