No way Dallas makes that deal. Petry is a good player, but not at the expense of Robertson and our 1st in this upcoming deep draft. We do need a RD, but there are others we'd pursue before going this route at that price imo.

Am I the only person that thinks domi isn’t suited to be a top six c? Top line no less? Since Danault could very well be the best at that position right now maybe finding a C and LD be top priority?

Dallas doesnt need RHD help, they would proably be more interested in Tatar

That NJ trade is garbage for MTL, Tatar alone is worth a 1st and a prospect

-If you think Sanderson and two "Who's this guy" prospects are worth Tatar, a third line PK, a decent prospect and two second rounders please no.
-Robertson holds a lot of value in Dallas (As he should), I see why but don't think that trade works. Making the third a second may change their view but I think we could get better value elsewhere.
-Luke Green has played a total of 38 games throughout the past three years so why? Smith's interesting but trading a pick, steady third pairing D and a bottom six forward for an NCAA guy that might not even sign with us when he's ready? Once again, why? To fit Hall's contract? Why would I give him 63M$ when Tatar's doing the same job for half the price??

I double down this statement.

Tatar never won the MVP

Great but with only 5 career playoff games under his belt that's nothing to brag about.

-Worth noting that he followed that MVP season with 11 and 16 goals seasons, those are far from MVP numbers so stop living in the past.
-Only two full seasons in his career (Injuries)
-Only one season over 26 goals (MVP)
-Three season out of 10 where he hit 60 points or more

Now tell me why are you giving this guy 63M$ over seven years? He's a nice addition to any team but at this price there's much better value out there. If I can get Tatar on one side and Hoffman or Toffoli on the other for about the same price as what Hall's going to cost (Let say those guys could fit at 10M$-ish for the pair) your team's in better shape.
