Description

My opinion is Sandin is ready to be given top 4 minutes. Reilly is currently the Leafs best LD, however, with RD options either not good enough for a top 4 role or too expensive the Leafs could give Reilly another shot on the right side. Given an off season and training camp to prepare could be all he needs. Gaudreau could be had. Him on either Matthews or Tavares's line would be unreal. Not sure on value, but did what I thought was best.

I kind of like the flames trade but they would need more. I would add Dermott to the deal. His ability to play the right would help them replace Brodie. Kappy is exactly what the flames need and Johnsson could play the second line. This would give them better depth.

I agree, he is way to young and small. I met him and have seen him play, even got a fist bump, but from seeing him in person I can say yes he is a top 4 in the making but not now. Maybe in 2 years once he puts on some size. He has the makings of a top 4 LD but he does not have the size and power to back it up.

Flames counter offer with Marner for Hanifin and Mangiapane. Basically the equivalent.

I don't like the trades for the Leafs....receive 2 forwards but trade away four. Filling the four of the thirteen spots with non NHLers. No thanks.
