Domi for Reinhart is a pretty even trade - they are within 1 pt of each other for the last two years' point production

Even if the value is correct,
Buffalo isn’t gonna trade Jack’s linemate & good friend for a package of lesser talent

That would just piss Eichel off even more
And it won’t help us get to the playoffs THIS SEASON

MTL need a top 6 RW, but BUF doesn’t have any if they trade Reinhart. So end of the conversation, but 1 for 1 is fair value wize

I mean they absolutely do still have top 6 wingers. And Reinhart is better than Domi

I really cant see BUF ttading Reinhart unless they also trade for/sign a top 6 forward. But if they went for a complete rebuild I think Dahlin/Joki/Graves would be a solid D foundatuon

You’ve gotta take into account how the deal affects
BOTH SIDES

Okay I do

Jost I believe = a 2020 3rd or a 2020 2nd
Ryan Graves = 2020 2nd or late 2020 1st I think
Sampo Ranta = 2020 4th
PLUS a 2020 1st

So pretty much Reinhart for a 2nd, 2nd, 4th, and 1st.

Yeah I'm not even advocating for them to trade Reinhart, but if contract talks go poorly or he wants out, this is what I'd do

I am doing that. In the event Buffalo wanted to retool things, or contract talks go poorly, if Reinhart were to be traded this is what I would do. I think it would benefit them.
