I suspect taking Malkin and Rust out and putting McCann and Guentzel in may make this offer semi intriguing.

I stress semi intriguing

Extremely unpopular opinion.... right now today I’d rather have Malkin. Dude is an absolute freak

Malkin is pretty much as good as Eichel and when you include the chemistry he has with Sid this trade hurts the Pens more than anything. Eichel being younger is obviously a bonus but Pens are riding Malkin and Sid til they retire then gonna rebuild

Start with Guentzel. Pitt doesnt have a whole lot to offer for an eichel trade. Young talent isnt exactly blooming in pitt

I agree, even tho it would be cool to get a young Star Center - I love Geno too much & don't think Geno or even Letang or Sid will ever play on other NHL teams .... They & Sid pretty much said it this off-season that 87, 71, & 58 are a package deal - If u trade 1 u will have to trade all 3 of them.

Young talent that isn't blooming in PIT includes: Guentzel, Marino, Jarry, McCann, Pettersson, Blueger, ZAR, PO Joseph, Poulin, etc. @Sidstick87

None of Crosby, Malkin or Eichel is going on the wing, and none of them is going to be 3C.

Any Eichel to Pittsburgh trade would need to have Malkin heading out, so everyone saying Guentzel... that is a not in the cards.

I like Eichel but Malkin has shown he can carry a good team to the playoffs.... Eichel hasn't. his team greatly improved from last year and they still couldn't make a 24 team playoff. hes good but swap Malkin and him and Buffalo has more wins

Why did you tag your little buddy hahahah cant handle this on your own? Other than Guentzel who puts up solid ppg, they are irrelevant. Only other guy sabres would want is Jarry. We dont want D or young guys who put up low point totals for a franchise center on a great contract. try again

"they are irrelevant"

Guentzel=#1LW
Marino=#2RHD
Jarry=#1B G
McCann=#3C
Pettersson=#2LHD
Bleuger=#3C
ZAR=#3LW
PO Joseph=prospect
Poulin=prospect

These players are young and can only improve greatly.
Each one would be an upgrade over the lineup the gongs how sabres organization has made. I'm not saying the Pens would trade for Eichel--I don't think he will be traded. I'm merely pointing out the inconsistencies in your degrading the Pens assets. These are young valuable players with potential.
