Looking from the outside in on all both of these trades, they look realistic.

No way the Avs do that deal. They have no use for Moore and can just sign Grubauer or a UFA goalie and keep their first

* They just re-signed Halak on May 1st. May 1st!! Or 53 days ago!!, and
* 6-pieces for Reinhardt is utter B S...however it creates a lovely Swiss cheese motif to the draft futures - there isn't any future...

Runs counter to just about everything Sakic has done.

But that price for Reinhart? Maybe. RW, C prospect, package of higher end picks. Checks the boxes. Cap probably isn't going up though so this doesn't work.

Welp sorry my bad lmao I didn't know ya'll just re signed Halak. The Reinhart trade seemed fine to me based off other trades I've seen.

In what way does this help Colorado?

We're already going to be trading at least 1 LHD to make room for Byram, and then running with Graves/Girard/Byram + Makar/Johnson/Cole/Timmins, so there's absolutely no need for Moore.

As for Halak, The Athletic recently ranked Colorado's goalie tandem no.1 in the league. There's absolutely no need to make a change in net. Especially if it's going to cost a 1st round pick.

Overall this trade just makes me scratch my head.

No prob...but look at the damage the SR deal would do to the future for example - Rds 1/2/3 (the "NHLer rounds") are blown to smithereens - totally crazy man (get it ha ha)!

Based on your knowledge, Then your knowledge sucks dude, You are way overpaying on Reinhart. You're at least $2 million over the expected salary cap you still need to sign 3 more players with 0 cap space. No way in hell does Taylor Hall sign for 7x7 and why would Krug TAKE 2X7 when he know's he can easily get 7X8 on the open market? Dude you're just spamming us here.

Ill start from the top and help you out man:

The Bad:
Bjork gets 2 or 3 years (but the money is good)
Cehlarik isnt coming back
Griz gets more money and years
Krug gets more years
Nordstrom isnt coming back
you are missing Chara and Miller
The Reinhart trade is a HUGGGGEEEEE overpay on the bruins part
Bruins arent giving up Halak and Moore for a 1st, nor do they want to trade Halak after JUST signing him

The Good:
Good debrusk deal

The Unknown:
Who knows it Hall would sign that
It seems that the Habs would match the Mete offer easily

OVERALL: This needs a good amount of work, but if it was your first time with a bruins one, good effort!!!

EDIT:
the cap lol
@McGruff @DiehardRedWingsFan58 did I miss anything else (i tagged yall cuz I already read your comments and realized i missed the cap lololol)

Not at all unfortunately. Frederick, a 2nd, and a 1st is MORE than enough for Reinhart. So this is just bad

First off: the Athletic is dumb and nobody reads it because they cost so much, so idk how the AVs tandem would EVER beat the Bruins or Stars tendems
but more importantly, Dont worry, Bruins reject this trade first. We just resigned Halak, we arent trading him, and we dont need another 1st rn

Be careful. This is the guy that talked to Don Sweeney TODAY. He knows what he’s talking about.

As for the reinhart deal.. seems like an overpay, but **** a first 3 years out, one that will still be a later one and Kase with a few other spare parts seems to signal to Eichel he’ll be traded next. It may be an overpay in like 6 years but it looks not great for Buf in the short term at all

Of course! but thats how future pieces work. Right now, they have a bunch of lowish round picks, a young solid prospect, and a young winger who hasnt played many full seasons. But in reality, Kase is a solid top 6 guy, Frederick will be a fantastic Grinder type guy, and those are still solid picks, even if they are low in their respective rounds.
So it is an overpayment, even if it doesnt look like it now

I read it, seems like good content to me. The ranking was based on overall value, not just game stats. At a combined $5.33m cap hit Grubauer and Francouz easily beat other tandems in the league. Though yes it's probably 2nd or 3rd among the Dallas and Bruins tandem if you ignore caphit.

Not sure why Boston would decline this trade. A 6/7 Dman and a 35 year old backup goalie for a 1st seems like a great deal for them. (Not that Avs would even consider this).

I get it. I didn’t propose it. I’m just saying it boils down to pick 58 and 88 this year, pick 58 next year, pick 28 the year after that, kase and Frederick. Really there’s only so much quality because the quantity piece is so far out. Third liners are all over, not saying Frederick can’t be a good one, and Rienhart is a clear upgrade over kase. It’s honestly not as appealing as a clear cut overpay usually is haha

Again, just signed Halak to be the fantastic backup and keep the bruins as the actual #1 goalie tandem in the nhl, as I have explained 100 times today lol: the VALUE part of the trade is only half of it, the PIECE part of the trade is the other half. VALUE wise its good for the bruins of course, but PIECE wise, the bruins wanna keep the best goalie tandem and will just trade Moore somehwere for a 6th or 7th

I agree man (though im not sure where you came up with 28/58 etc... we have no clue lol)

MY proposal would be Reinhart for Kase, a 2nd, zboril, and Frederick (and that maybe still be an overpayment), but logially it works well for both teams

I mean its tough, but its clear by the amount of people here saying "no" that they definitely are not good trades. and logically they arent

I just used the Bruins making it roughly how far they make it most years. Usually one of the better teams (higher ranked) to make it to the 2nd round and beyond. Yeah, I’m not sure on the exact value here, or whether it really has legs (I mean this is the guy who KNOWS DON SWEENEY SO IT MUST BE TRUE) he also thinks that Paul Statsny is a great center piece for a Jack Eichel trade.. so there ya have it

I still don't see how Halak with a 1 year contract gets a 1st. Especially from a team that has a better, younger, and better backup already in Francouz.
