Matthews isn’t a rfa and also wants to play in Toronto Murray wants out of Pittsburgh he gets treated awful by the fans and u guys have 2 starters

Point I was making is that he's an RFA, we don't have to trade him. At least make a competitive offer. You clearly want him so consider that other teams can beat that offer easily

Have no need for Engvall or Dermott unless you're taking back Johnson to open up 3rd pair LD. Team needs are a third pair RD and a RW for Crosby. Realistic offer is probably futures, starting with a late 1st, two 2nds, or a B+ prospect that's NHL ready and right handed.

I think you can get more from Andersen than that and I also think Murray for Kapanen or something like that would be what what i'd be willing to give up. A pick of something as well maybe and then move andersen in a different move to fill a different hole.

We really need a 2C, not a 3C
So while that deal is possible...
it would most likely be a “last resort” type move if we strike out on other options we’d definitely pursue first
