Something like that could be possible

Really tough to say what players/prospects are gonna be sticking around, and who could be moved with all the crazy changes we are making
Mittelstadt’s slow-ish development so far does seem to make him a candidate though
And you are sending us a Goalie, which we need
We wouldn’t want Smith, but I’m assuming you’re making us take him

I think the framework is at least in the ballpark

I have the picks to make up for taking smith and I personally think georgiev is worth a late first so pushing back a few picks as well

Lias = Casey
And
Georgie = a late 1st

Once you take that into account proper evaluations the trade doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, exactly they have like 6 RFAs to sign. 2 big contracts. Theyll have like 4 mill to improve themselves

So a late first is what 27 ish dropping 8 more spots aka the 2nd adding a 3rd and 5th to get rid of smith seems decently reasonable

Buffalo pick is 38. To move from 38-> 27 costs pick 33. Your valuation is standard deviations off.

https://bluebulletreport.com/2019/06/05/2018-19-draft-model-update-part-iii-blue-bullet-draft-pick-value-chart/

And no Smith does not cost a 3rd and 5th to get rid of. Maybe a 5th. You're equating Smith with Staal which is wrong.

He might be... but idk that u could get that for him...
What team that does well in the playoffs is gonna be looking for a starting goalie?
So the best u can likely get for him as fast as a draft pick goes would be an early 2nd
