- Staal is a solid middle 6 center for Carolina and there's no guarantee Mitts ever gets there.
- Given the sentiment around Risto, I doubt Toronto would trade for him and give up both Kapanen and Johnsson (Tage Thompson hasn't really done much either).
- I don't think San Jose would give up Labanc when they need goal scoring. Plus Labanc should bounce back next year.
- Not sure how Calgary would view that trade. Reinhart helps scoring, but I guess it comes down to are their D prospects ready to step up next year.

Why would Jordan Staal waive for Buffalo? Fat chance i'd see him waiving to go there.

important distinction.

I would do that trade from buffalos point of view.

Can't say I care for the reinhart trade.

Still trying to wrap my head around the sharks trade

Reinhart is a 20 goal 60pt player , I know Buffalo fans think he's worth a mitt full cause he was drafted 2nd overall but he is you run of the mill 60pt Top 6 F - At Hanifins contract and he's still improving Hanifin is worth more than Reinhart considering Reinhart will be wanting a Nylander deal $7 x 6/7

This is actually pretty fair. Is Reinhart a real 1RW? That's the real question at this point. And in Buffalo he's about to be an overpaid one... I think the Reinhart deal is right about on value wise but...Buffalo deals from an area of weakness (though I like the idea of moving Skinner over across from Olofsson).

reinhart and nylander are pretty darn close in value.

Today comparing both players side by side - Nylander is > Reinhart - Nylander is the better offensive and defensive player, is more versatile, is literally the best player in the league at zone entries - Reinhart broke 60 pts once Nylander has consistently done it (except his hold out year)

last 3 years 82 game average:

Reinhart 24 goals, 34 assists, 58 points .71 ppg
Nylander 23 goals, 36 assists, 59 points .71 ppg

career total: reinhart 400 games, 109 goals, 146 assists, 255 points. nylander: 307 games, 86 goals, 135 assists, 221 points. seeing as sam played 9 games in his draft year and 79 games the year after, the overall ppg discrepancy is skewed by reinhart playing younger than nylander.

i conceded that nylander is better, but not by much.

Ullmark >>> Jones so no thanks to that one

Explain to me why Hanifin is worth Reinhart. I don't understand people's high value on Hanifin, averages 30 points a season which is good for a 2nd pair guy. His advanced stats like Corsi don't pop off the page, he is just above 50%

I’m interested but would you take Sorenson and a pick over labanc? We desperatly need RW and with this trade okpso would be our best RW under contract.
